AIM OF 21ST CENTURY EDUCATION FORUM @ HARVARD

According to a report by the Institute for the Future (IFTF) and a panel of 20 tech, business and academic experts from around the world, 85 percent of the jobs that will exist in 2030 haven't even been invented yet. The primary aim of the 21st Century Education Forum @ Harvard is to assemble a diverse group of stakeholders to discuss how to prepare students for an uncertain world of work and society. Participants are encouraged to present his/her research or just attend to learn from global researchers and experts assembled at one of the top higher education institutions in the world.

PROGRAM

The conference program is comprised of keynote speeches, interactive workshops, panel discussions, oral and poster presentations, and opportunities for networking with a broad group of global professionals. 21CEF@HARVARD is being held at the Martin Center at Harvard Medical School on November 15-16, 2018. Join colleagues from around the world who care deeply about preparing students for the world of work and beyond in the 21st century.

WAYS OF PARTICIPATING

Oral Presenter: 20-25 minutes
Poster Presenter: 60 minutes
Absentee Presenter: For those unable to join us in person at 21CEF@HARVARD, we offer the opportunity to participate as an Absentee Presenter. Absentee Presenters can: (1) upload a narrated presentation to our website and social media sites; (2) publish his/her abstract in the Conference Program Book; and (3) publish his/her paper in the Conference Proceedings.
Non-Presenter (Listener): For those interested in attending to participate in the various presentation sessions.

PRESENTATION PROPOSAL SUBMISSION DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 30, 2018

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES

OPTION ONE: EDITED BOOK - CAMBRIDGE SCHOLARS PUBLISHING

Based on the 21CEF@HARVARD conference theme, we are calling for chapters for an edited book entitled "Education 2030: Preparing students for an uncertain future" that will be edited and published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. The 21st Century Academic Forum's publishing team will coordinate with authors in producing in producing a volume that is both coherent and self-sufficient and presentable as a book rather than a mere collection (such as conference proceedings with no introduction or sections).

OPTION TWO: CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS - 21ST CENTURY ACADEMIC FORUM

All papers that meet the 21st Century Academic Forum's Conference Proceedings guidelines will be published in our online Conference Proceedings (ISSN: 2330-1236). The Conference Proceedings will be published on MAY 16, 2019 The editors of our peer-reviewed Journal of 21st Century Education (ISSN: 2330-1244) select the best papers from the Conference Proceedings to appear in special thematic issues of the journal.

OPTIONAL EDUCATIONAL EXCURSION

Conference participants will have the option of joining an educational excursion to the historical town of Plymouth, Massachusetts to take part in America's Hometown Thanksgiving Festival. The celebration of Thanksgiving becomes history-brought-to-life as Pilgrims, Native Americans, Soldiers, Patriots, and Pioneers proudly climb out of the history books and onto the streets of Plymouth.
